How We Customised Our Panels With Built-In Red Light Therapy

Over the past year, a growing number of wellness-focused studios asked us the same question: could a Yandiya panel deliver our signature far-infrared warmth while also offering the low-level red light exposure their clients were asking for at the front desk? Rather than treating these as two separate installations, we set out to build one.

The result is a custom panel configuration that embeds a strip of 630–660nm red LED chromotherapy lighting along the border of the standard frameless aluminium panel, running independently of the far-infrared heating element. Studios can run the red light on its own for a short post-class skin and recovery exposure, run the infrared heat on its own for a standard class, or run both together for a combined session.

Keeping the two systems electrically independent was the non-negotiable part of the engineering brief. The red light array runs on its own low-voltage circuit with a separate switch and timer, so a studio can offer a 10–15 minute red light exposure without heating the room, and the panel's existing overheat cut-off and thermostat logic remain untouched by the addition.

We've since fitted this configuration for studios running dedicated recovery rooms, physiotherapy suites and post-hot-yoga cool-down spaces, where clients move from an infrared-heated flow class into a shorter red light session on the same ceiling-mounted panels rather than a separate piece of equipment.

The custom red light option is available as an add-on across the frameless panel range, built to the same CE, UKCA and IEC certification standards as our standard panels. Studios interested in the configuration can raise it during their floor plan consultation and we'll spec the red light coverage alongside the heating layout.
